Young new publisher of poetry and prose is looking for a website designer to join its small group of staff. Are you an incredibly open-minded person, incredibly technologically literate, do you have an interest in literature and languages, are you a perfectionist, and do you have a three year + history of professional website design, and the site details and designs to prove it? The publisher you’ll be working for hopes to be a busy series of internet pages (multiple sites) that can successfully process multiple book orders (both domestically and internationally) and money transactions, as well as advertise new product, maintain writers blogs, picture and text uploads, links pages and offer up a library of audio and video recordings, both for free and at a price, as well as maintaining a discussion/questions forum. Your work will be needed on a monthly basis (somewhere between 10-40 hours of work depending on our publishing schedule and other current events) and you will be payed on an hourly quota to be negotiated. While the position is payed, and applicants are expected to be professional, the main reason for joining us would be because of an enthusiasm for poetry and literature as a transformatory medium for change in the world, and a passion to be a part of ushering in this change, in the form of a wide variety of new ideas articulately expressed. Application is by a short written introduction and accompanying CV/Resume to: andrewodonnell@riseup.net For current online examples of the writing involved with Open Season Press please go to:
